Abstract:
Scrum – It Isn’t Just for Football Anymore!
This presentation will deal with one of the Agile methodologies, Scrum, a relatively new approach aimed at satisfying user requirements without detailing them in advance. Think “embedded client” and “flexible scope” to get the general idea. Mr. Frenette will discuss the concepts around Scrum, many of the terms used and some of the major differences between Scrum and other approaches.
Bio: Mike Frenette works for Sierra Systems in Halifax. While not planning and managing projects locally, he telecommutes to Vancouver to work on several internal projects, one of which involves Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum.
