Atlantic Canadian Delegation at
Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC)

As part of its continued advocacy efforts in response to the Government of Canada’s Canada First Defence Strategy and its related Industrial Regional Benefits (IRB) requirements, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) is leading a mission for Atlantic Canadian industry to showcase its capabilities and capacity at this premier show. The primary objective of this mission is to introduce interested Atlantic Canadian suppliers who offer military training, simulation, education products and services to large firms who currently have and/or may potentially have IRB obligations to Canada. Some of these companies include: Lockheed Martin, Boeing, BAE Systems, CAE and others.
The Atlantic Canadian program will include:
- Access to the Atlantic Canada booth to showcase and distribute promotional material
- Facilitation of one-on-one meetings with major U.S. contractors and suppliers and boardroom for these meetings
- Opportunity to meet and network with major U.S. contractors and suppliers
Participating companies will be responsible for their own travel expenses, including airfare and accommodation. A special group rate is available at the Westin Imagine Orlando; specific information will be provided to all participating companies. The hotel is within walking distance of the show. Information regarding the show
Cost of show pass: $ 525/person (before November 12th), this includes a one-year membership to the NTSA (http://www.trainingsystems.org) and NDIA (www.ndia.com)
How many exhibitors: In 2009, there were in excess of 18,000 participants and 607 exhibiting companies, representing 61 countries
Who attends: Some of the most innovative companies in the Military Simulation & Training Industry are present each year at I/ITSEC. Focus areas include: Computer-Based 3D graphics, Flight Simulators, Convoy Trainers, SCORM, Information Technology, Advanced Distributed Learning, Aerospace and Defence, Communications, Health Care (new this year), Public Safety and many more.
