Trade Mission to:

  The United Arab Emirates

A market representing $1.8 billion in two-way trade with Canada

Following Nova Scotia Business Inc. and EduNova are currently recruiting Nova Scotia companies to participate in a trade mission to the UAE. This is a multi-sector mission – all Nova Scotia exporters, new or experienced in this market, are encouraged to participate.

The opportunity
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) provides significant export opportunities for Nova Scotia based companies, including those in the education/training, energy, agriculture and fisheries, professional services, and building and consumer products sectors.

Nova Scotia is experiencing tremendous momentum in the UAE market. In the education sector alone, EduNova has won $10 million (CAD) in projects over the past 4 years, and has sourced another $4 million (CAD) for partners. This trade mission continues on Nova Scotia’s success in the UAE and will further expand our province’s exports in products and services to the region.

Nova Scotia showcase
EduNova Gulf in partnership with the Canadian Business Council – Abu Dhabi will host a showcase networking event for Nova Scotia companies and the business community in the UAE on November 7 (Day 1 of the mission). The event will include an exhibition area to showcase mission participants.

As a participant

As a trade mission participant, companies will be provided with:
• Business matchmaking services: Staff from the EduNova Gulf office will set up meetings tailored to your company's specific goals and objectives with businesses in the UAE
• In-market ground transportation
• Networking reception

The registration fee for the mission is $500 per company. Participants are responsible for the cost of round trip airfare, accommodation and meals.

As a participant in this initiative, you may be eligible for funding to follow-up with your mission leads through NSBI’s Go-Ahead Program (GAP).
