Feature Focus:
The Inter-American Development Bank in the Caribbean

November 15 and 16
Halifax, Nova Scotia

How can your company get involved in IDB-financed projects
in the Caribbean?

International Financial Institutions (IFIs) provide valuable funding support and technical assistance to borrowing member countries for development projects aimed at improving both social and economic conditions. These projects range across all sectors – from education to water and sanitation to private sector development – and result in tremendous export opportunities for Nova Scotia companies.

Join a panel of experts from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on November 16 to learn about the Inter-American Development Bank’s priorities and programs in the
Caribbean region. Registration is $55.00 per person.

With over $1.6 billion in sovereign guarantee lending to the Caribbean region in 2009 (excluding grants to Haiti), the IDB is the leading source of IFI funding to the Caribbean region.

If you are unsure whether IFI contracts could offer opportunities for your company or you would simply like to learn more about the intricacies of pursuing IFI-financed opportunities, join us on Monday, November 15, from 9am-11am for a free training session on ‘Working with the IFIs’. We will cover the basics of IFI project cycles and procurement as well as speak to the growth sectors and priorities of IFIs and the support services available to help you win IFI-financed contracts

Please complete the registration form by November 10, 2010.

Please join us after the seminar on November 16 for our quarterly Caribbean Networking event in the World Trade & Convention Centre third floor Atrium at 4:30pm
