Business Over Breakfast
What Makes Entrepreneurs Do it Again (and Again)?

Serial entrepreneurs can have a big advantage over people new to the start-up challenge, but what motivates them to pursue another venture? How do they say good-bye to their "first love"? How do they bounce back from a failure? How do they choose their next venture? What were some of their best and worst decisions as CEO? Will their latest pursuit be their last?

Hear the answers to these questions and get wisdom from entrepreneurs who've been there, done that...a few times.

Jay Steele, Senior Director of Content Delivery Platform, RIM (www.rim.com) - Jay is founder and chief technology officer of Viigo Inc. (www.viigo.com), an award-winning mobile content and services platform for smartphones. In March 2010, Viiago was acquired by Research in Motion (RIM) and the Viiago team joined RIM. Jay was also founder, president and chief technology officer of Plazmic Inc., a company specializing in rich-media graphics solutions for wireless mobile devices that was acquired by RIM in 2001. Jay is co-inventor on numerous patents filed worldwide.

Jevon MacDonald, Entrepreneur in Residence, Innovacorp (www.innovacorp.ca) - Jevon has spent the last decade building high technology businesses. Most recently, he was senior partner at Dachis Group, an Austin, Texas-based start-up providing Social Business Design services and technology. He developed strategic alliances with companies such as IBM and Jive Software and helped the company grow from four employees to more than 180. Jevon is also the co-founder of Startupnorth.ca, a community of Canadian technology start-ups, where he comments regularly on the Canadian venture landscape.

Duncan Enman, Founder, Rentdonkey.ca
(www.rentdonkey.ca) - Duncan is founder of Rentdonkey.ca and Can Stock Photo. Rentdonkey.ca is a free search engine that independently tracks all apartment and house rentals. Can Stock Photo is a microstock agency, a company that sells stock photos and illustrations very affordably. Duncan founded the company in 2004, and it soon became the busiest stock-photo site in the country, today representing more than 3 million stock images and boasting over 50,000 members. In 2008, US-based stock-photo giant Fotosearch acquired Can Stock Photo and hired Duncan to run the company.
