You've created a prototype; now what? 

From Mind to Market: A Workshop on Market Testing is a two-day workshop designed to assist individuals in the testing and validation stages of their commercialization process.

As a participant of the program, you will learn the various ways of accessing capital, the importance of the prototype and the various go-to-market strategies to apply to your innovation.

You will also have the opportunity to meet with the facilitators one month after the workshop to discuss your innovation and how to incorporate the key workshop outcomes into your business.

 

Facilitator Bios

Brian Lowe 

The Director of the First Angel Network Association in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Brian is an accomplished entrepreneur and businessman with over 30 years experience. He has been involved in a number of start-ups throughout his career and has raised millions of dollars for these companies. He has been responsible for taking technologies to market internationally resulting in mergers and acquisitions.


More about Brian:
* Past experience includes serving as the President/CEO/Founder of three environmental companies based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Mr. Lowe successfully negotiated the sale of these companies to Laidlaw Environmental Services Ltd. of South Carolina.
* Mr. Lowe is a co-founder and a Director of the First Angel Network Association, Atlantic Canada's association for private investors and is a shareholder and Director of several operating companies throughout Atlantic Canada.

 

Ross Finlay

A co-founder and Director of the First Angel Network Association - Atlantic Canada's association for private investors, Ross has been an angel investor since 2000. He has assisted a number of companies raise private equity. He is a recognized facilitator, business planner and strategic advisor who has an extensive background in public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

More about Ross:
* Past experience includes Executive Director of a professional association in Ontario and President of a national consulting company specializing in providing consulting services to companies in scientific, engineering and technical fields.
* Mr. Finlay has managed his own successful consulting practice. He returned to the corporate world for a period of time with PricewaterhouseCoopers and SolutionInc Ltd. - a software development company.
