Does cybersecurity keep you up at night?

Can you afford it? Do you have staff that could handle an incident? Do you know what the threats are? Do you know where to start? When it comes to cybersecurity there are so many questions, and the answers can seem daunting. So, where do you go from here?

Join Digital Nova Scotia & NTL’s Director of Operations, Vernon D’souza, for a one-day training session where we will outline the cyber threats that exist today. During the first half of the workshop, we will cover what the threats are, why they exist, how they're executed, and what threats face your specific industry. In the second half of the session, you’ll get hands on experience with a cyber threat activity, so be prepared to put your new knowledge to work!

We will break the workshop down into 4 easily digestible topics:

Risk – Know the risks that your business could be facing, and how to define, tackle and accept them. Certain levels of risk are acceptable; it’s important to remember that you can’t do everything!

Existing controls - Understand what controls are, why they are helpful and the kinds of controls that are available to you (CIS Top 20, PIPETA, etc).

Threats – Threats have gotten more sophisticated over time. Learn the who, what, when, where and why of threats.

Awareness – How can you protect yourself, if you don’t know what you are protecting yourself again? Security awareness training will equip you with best practices, knowledge and a general understanding of cybersecurity.

As an added benefit, each company will receive a complimentary 30-minute follow-up from NTL, one month after the training workshop. This will give you the opportunity to discuss your cybersecurity changes, implementation plans and highlight best practices for your company’s online activity.

Who is the workshop for?
This 5-hour workshop is geared towards small to medium businesses, with the goal of getting you acquainted with the full picture of cybersecurity. Often times businesses are aware of cybersecurity and may know they need it, but they don’t know the full picture as to why it’s so important in today’s digital world.

*Lunch included
