Atlantic Internet Marketing Conference
Oct. 27-28, 2011

As Internet marketing continues to evolve, Atlantic companies need to evolve with it − or miss out.  The Atlantic Internet Marketing Conference (aimconference.com) is a two-day educational event that aspires to ensure Atlantic business owners have access to the information they need in order to win online.

Day One is an intensive workshop day focusing on the tactical level of “how” to do it. How to get started using social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkenIn, etc.).  How to run a successful contest online. How to execute an effective email marketing campaign. How to write for the Internet (it’s not the same). And more.

Day Two looks at the strategic level of online marketing. Keynote speakers to note are:

Julien Smith, co-author (with Chris Brogan) of the New York Times best seller, Trust  Agents, and well-known social media force in the online industry.

Eric Karjaluoto, founding partner of the Vancouver-based digital agency smashLAB,  and advocate for strategy and pragmatism in design. Eric’s work has been recognized by TIME, the Lotus Awards, and ICOGRADA. The agency has been featured in the Globe and Mail.

Collin Douma, VP Global Digital Planning Leader for P&G, NY. Collin’s primary role is to help Gillette build their social, digital and innovation capabilities in cross discipline marketing and advertising.

Jeff MacArthur, Halifax’s own digital communications and marketing expert, and President/Co-Founder of MGImedia.ca. Jeff has developed social media strategies for world-class clients such as Canada Goose and Tony Robins, as well as lead communications for high-profile local events like Nocturne and TEDxHalifax.
