The Atlantic Provinces Economic Council (APEC) presents
Outlook 2010
Atlantic Canada's Business Outlook Conference
Now in its 15th year, APEC's Business Outlook Conference provides essential economic intelligence to guide your strategic plans and an opportunity to join in the discussion of Atlantic Canada's most important business issues.
This year's conference theme: Are We There Yet?
Governments are using every possible means to help their economies recover from the most severe global recession in 50 years. But much uncertainty remains around the timing and strength of the recovery, and the longer-term impact of the economic crisis.
Although Atlantic Canada was not affected as severely as other Canadian provinces by the initial impact of the recession, the region is now facing higher government deficits, a frugal U.S. consumer and a more restrictive global financing environment.
APEC's Outlook Conference will address these key questions:
· When will economic conditions improve and what will be the key drivers behind the recovery?
· What long-term impacts will the current recession have on Atlantic Canada's economic prospects?
· How are Atlantic businesses positioning themselves to take advantage of new growth opportunities?
