What is DemoCamp Halifax?

DemoCamp Halifax 2011 is the event designed to inspire those interested learning what it takes to succeed in building and running a startup and showcase projects of those who are already doing it.

DemoCamp creates connections between people already in the emerging technology community, investors, students and providers of professional services.

Why is there a fee?

Proceeds from the event will be used to provide food and beverage for atendees. All unspent funds will be donated to WiTS in suport of Women in Technology.

Why should I attend?

Are you a student, developer, designer, marketer, enterpreneur, or investor? Are you thinking of starting a tech company? or maybe you're already doing it? Are you looking for a job, or have an opening and want to hire top talent? If you answered yes to any of these questions then DemoCamp Halifax is must-attend event. Connect, learn, show, and just have a good time.

How do I present?

If you have a product to demo, you should apply here. Rules are simple: You must have a product to demo (prototype is fine) but absolutely no Power Point (or Apple Keynote). Applications to present will be considered until Septermber 5th or until all slots are filled.

You will have 5 minutes to demo and 5 minutes only. If you need some tips on how to effectively demo - you can find it here.

You will be able to answer questions as a part of a panel at the end of the DemoCamp event.

How do I sponsor?


Sponsorship money will be used to cover direct event expenses such as venue, food, drinks, and door prizes. Sponsors will be featured in all print and online media, and promoted throughout the event. Additionally, sponsor will have the option of including promotional material and swag in the attendees bags. All excess proceeds will be donated to WiTS in support of Women in Technology.
