Within this workshop, Disability Awareness Consultant Andrew Gurza using their lived experience as a disabled person, will walk you through how to make your workplace not only accessible but also work to become anti-ableist.  Through real-world examples, a sense of humor and honesty, Andrew will help you understand that accessibility is more than just ramps, buttons and elevators, it is how a disabled person feels in the space.

What are 3-Key Takeaways:

  1. Participants will understand what ableism is and how it affects the workplace, and be given the tools to call it out.
  2. Participants will learn about the different types of accessibility and how they can implement it in their own organizations and workplaces and;
  3. Participants will learn how to be anti-ableist at work and why that is important.
