Neurodiversity is an umbrella term that includes Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and co-occurring mental health challenges. Individuals with neurodivergent brains may not think or behave in a ‘typical’ fashion. Yet, these differences are to be valued and accepted as an aspect of diversity rather than as abnormal or problematic. In this workshop, we will explore the strengths that neurodivergent employees can bring to your teams, how to identify the challenges they may face, and how you can accommodate their learning differences.

In this workshop, you'll learn:

  • Understanding of what neurodiversity is and how it impacts employment;
  • Identify key areas where neurodivergent employees struggle and;
  • Identify accommodations for each subset of their struggles.

Meet your facilitator: Keith Gelhorn

Founder & Chief Empowerment Officer, ADDvocacy

ADDvocacy was started in 2012 as a social enterprise focused on supporting neurodivergent youth and adults navigating their transition to post-secondary, the workplace and/or entrepreneurship. We also facilitate peer-led professional development training for employers and educators on creating neuro-inclusive workplaces and classrooms.
